6 First Alert Day: Snow continues tonight along with windier conditions

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Snow continues through the rest of our Friday night into early Saturday morning... winds will be gusty through the overnight hours driving in cold air from the N and reducing visibility as snow continues to fall. Stay off the roads if you can.

As of 9:30 PM there have been reports of .5″-2.3″ of snow across the area.

These numbers will climb into early Saturday with most of the snow ending by 6 AM.

Watch for the winds to increase overnight as well with gusts to 40 mph possible after 10pm into the overnight. That will blow around the snow as it falls and cause road conditions to deteriorate. Overnight travel should be avoided if possible!

Snow will likely be out by about 6am Saturday then its all about the cold air. The clouds and the wind will decrease during the day Saturday but melting will be slow if at all.
