6 First Alert traffic update: Major delays for Omaha’s Wednesday morning commute
Two crashes reported on westbound Interstate 80

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Two separate crashes on westbound Interstate 80 in Omaha led to a rough commute Wednesday.
The first one happened on westbound Interstate 80 near the interchange with 480 and the JFK around 6:10 AM.
At one point, traffic was reduced to one lane on westbound 80 approaching the interchange with backups all the way to the Missouri River bridge.
Stop-and-go traffic was also present on the northbound JFK from the merger back to Harrison.
This crash cleared around 7:55 AM with the traffic flow improving shortly after that.
A second crash happened on westbound I-80 near L around 7 AM. This one blocked both shoulders and the right lane as well.
Backups on westbound I-80 past 84th and on I-680 southbound back to Dodge.
Traffic began to improve shortly after 8 AM.
