Police investigating drive-by shooting in north Omaha neighborhood

Omaha Police are investigating a drive-by shooting near 38th and Camden Avenue Wednesday night.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Police were on the scene of an apparent drive-by shooting Wednesday night in a north Omaha neighborhood.

A ShotSpotter report alerted officers to the shooting at 38th Street and Camden Avenue. Officers at the scene told 6 News that a 42-year-old man was grazed in the back with a bullet at 9:09 p.m. The gunfire came from a car with several people inside.

The victim was evaluated by Omaha Fire Department medics but refused to be taken to the hospital.

According to the OPD report issued Thursday afternoon, officers also noticed gunfire damage to a home and vehicles located in the driveway.

There was no word late Wednesday on the suspect vehicle or anyone who was in it.
