As the Huskers completed their final spring practice and addressed the media, the biggest piece of news came from head coach Scott Frost who announced Thomas Fidone suffered a non-contact knee injury in practice and is scheduled for surgery on Thursday.
In exactly two weeks, roughly 45,000 fans will enter Memorial Stadium for Nebraska’s spring football game. Before that, 4,000 fans got their first in-person look at the Huskers since 2019 on Saturday when the team hosted an open practice.
After a length 19 day layoff the Huskers were sharp against Texas State winning in three sets, 25-18 25-17 25-20. A team that just beat Baylor two weeks ago and coincidently that’s who Nebraska will play next. That match will be Sunday at CHI Health Center in the regional semifinals.
